The main weapon of choice here seems to be Tamiya IR tanks as far as I can tell from my short time here.

You can either buy tanks from Stargek, or from Elite Racing Models at Orchard Plaza.

Other forums support other types of tanks like Heng Long or something else.

Tamiyas run around $1000 and up, Heng Longs probably $200 plus? Depends on your budget, really. You do get what you pay for though.

heres the break down

Tamiya tanks

- range for RTR( stock setup with out upgrade items ) $1000-$2000

- lasting ( my last for 3++ years and counting )

- spare parts support is AWESOME

- have VERY LOUD BASSY engine sound ( recorded from the real deal )

- IR battling is seriously damm addictive

V.S

Cheap Tanks..... Heng long, V.S Tanks (there are the best cheap ones around ), Matotoro

- Cheap and very affordable from $100-$400

- Almost no spare parts support

- Break down easy

- Not many people play ( mainly Airsoft their IR sucks to the core )

- TOO MUCH down sides to be listed.........XP

heres my summery on both category

Just my $0.02 with out GST

bro let me assure you that IR battling has a different kick than nitro cars/buggy... in tank team work is the MOST crucial in winning as for cars/buggys they require lots of $$$$ and even more $$$$$ to maintain e.g replace worn out parts and be on par with other people

P.S
our tanks only need to change parts like once every 2-4 years if you maintain and dont abuse the vehicle

sorry for my ignorance, pls bare with me, im new to tanks, i just own some electric cars before, and its just a pure hobby, no racing, just for pleasure.

firstly you can join us in our games tomorrow to feel for yourself how IR combat feels like... as for the tanks we normally use WW2 tanks tho we have occasionally leopard battles ..... why WW2 tanks there are the cheapest of the lot the sherman is the cheapest

ah sir, that means the leopard 2 are special? meaning ww2 rc tank does not match its function? thats why you guys have different games on leos only?

how much it would cost me for a WW2 tank? you sait its much cheaper but functional? is tiger a ww2 tank? i have seen one at 850SG price tag.

one of this day ill come on your game!

thank you sir!

Leopards are "better" as is appropriate for being a modern tank. The owners will probably fill you in, but as far as I know it has a faster turret rotation rate, and it has faster speed, both which matter when you're battling with other tanks. Not too sure if its IR "gun" has better range though I think it does.

WW2 tanks are more closely matched against each other, even though there are still slight differences between each tank type.

I would think evenly matched tanks would be more fun and satisfying for everyone.

hi if i am not wrong this is the german leopard 2A4 modern tank. which singapore army force have now.

seen like the ower somehow install a gasline enginer in to the tank.

as it is a 1/10scale so mayb is a handmade tank. as seen in the video is too fast alreadi the gears sure break track de. if the tank run too fast or off road.
